[1] David Melding: Good afternoon, everyone, and welcome to this meeting of the Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committee. I have received apologies from Suzy Davies, who is unwell.
[2] I’ll just make the usual housekeeping announcements. We don’t expect a routine fire alarm, so, if you hear the bell, please follow the instructions of the ushers. Please switch mobile devices either off or onto silent. These proceedings will be conducted in Welsh and English. A translation is available on channel 1, and channel 0 will amplify our proceedings.

[3] David Melding: Item 2 is instruments that raise no reporting issues. They are, however, listed there. Are Members content? Thank you.
Papur iw Nodi Paper to Note
[4] David Melding: Item 3 is a paper to note, which is correspondence from the Presiding Officer relating to the Public Health (Wales) Bill, and this essentially raises issues of competence and human rights. I would just say that the Minister is giving evidence on 22 September. So, I am sure we will want to explore these issues, particularly around the need to robustly discuss human rights, so that the courts are reassured that that’s been properly done. Do Members have anything further to add in relation to the correspondence from the Presiding Officer? Okay.
